The recap:
Countless stars
Best dinner of my life
Lost count of how many times I got lost

Day 1

Flew from London to Marrakech.

Checked into the best hostel of all time (might as well be a 4-star hotel) โ€” The Central House Marrakech Medina:

Day 2

Explored downtown Marrakech.

Went to Atay Cafe for dinner.

Local dish recommendation: Tajine with a side of Moroccan mint tea

Day 3

Day trip to Essouria:

Yes, those are goats in a tree โฌ†๏ธ ๐Ÿ

Day 4

Went to the Cascades dโ€™Ouzoud, and yes a monkey jumped on my head ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Went to Naranj for my last dinner in Marrakech.

Day 5

Took the train to Fez. Checked into Dar Saray.

Restaurant highlight: Nur โ€“ owned by a local Moroccan woman trained in NYC who returned to her hometown to start this culinary masterpiece.

Day 6

Adventure to the Volubilis ruins:

Warning: The taxi system here is unique โ€” the city taxis are separate from the surrounding area taxis, and they do not coordinate. You have to take a city taxi to the edge of the city and then negotiate with one of the larger taxis to take you out of town, usually with other guests sharing the taxi and no meters.

Day 7

Visited the Chaouwara Tanneries:

Day 8

Took the bus to Chefchaouen. Ran into friends on the bus from my hostel in Marrakech! Checked into Hotel Molino Garden.

The most beautiful sunset view:

Day 9

An epic 8-hour hike turned rock climbing adventure to the Akchour waterfalls:

Day 10

Flew from Casablanca to Lisbon to continue the solo journey through Europe! Shukran, Morocco! ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฆ
